Mother’s Day is one of the most widely celebrated holidays of the year, perhaps because mothers are so special. Show your mother just how much she means to you by making one of these pop-up cards.
Use your imagination to make a personalized Mother’s Day card. Sometimes the strangest shapes make the cutest cards.
Materials Needed:
- 2 pieces of 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Rubber cement
- Crayons, markers, colored paper, paper doilies, cotton balls, etc.
Instructions:
Prepare the Card:
• Fold each piece of paper in half. Set one aside to be used later as the outside of the card.
• Place the paper so that the folded edge is on your left. Mark a large triangle on the bottom left corner.
• Draw and cut a curved line from the folded edge to the triangle line. Fold along the triangle line between the cut and the point of the triangle. Fold the other direction along the same crease.
• Open the card and pull the cut middle pop-up piece toward you. Firmly crease the fold lines so that the pop-up piece points toward you.
• Glue the inside and outside of the card together. Be careful not to apply glue on the pop-up area of the card.
