Cooking Steps

  • 1
Core the apple carefully, leaving the bottom intact to form a “bowl.”
  • 2
Widen the cavity slightly to allow for a generous filling.
  • 3
Choose one or more mix-ins from the Baked Apple Bar Menu below and stuff the apple to the top.
  • 4
Place the apple in the center of the foil.
  • 5
Bring foil up over the top and twist to seal.
  • 6
Place the packet open-end up on a wire grill 2–3 inches above hot coals.
  • 7
Cook for 30 to 45 minutes, until soft and bubbly.
  • 8
Open the foil like a bowl. Serve warm, topped with a splash of cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Eat with a spoon right out of the foil!

Indoor Baked Apple Bar Party

Bake the apples in the oven at 350°F for about 35–40 minutes

  • 3
Serve with whipped cream, vanilla yogurt, or ice cream
