Golden Saffron Rice

Ingredients

  • ½ onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 3 cups rice (long-grain or basmati work best)
  • 5 cups water
  • Pinch of saffron threads
