If you’re planning a campfire cookout and want a dessert that’s easy, cozy, and totally customizable, you’ll love this Campfire Baked Apple Bar.
With just foil, apples, and a few pantry staples, you can create hot, gooey apple treats filled with flavor—and no two have to be the same!
Cooking Steps
- 1Core the apple carefully, leaving the bottom intact to form a “bowl.”
- 2Widen the cavity slightly to allow for a generous filling.
- 3Choose one or more mix-ins from the Baked Apple Bar Menu below and stuff the apple to the top.
- 4Place the apple in the center of the foil.
- 5Bring foil up over the top and twist to seal.
- 6Place the packet open-end up on a wire grill 2–3 inches above hot coals.
- 7Cook for 30 to 45 minutes, until soft and bubbly.
- 8Open the foil like a bowl. Serve warm, topped with a splash of cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Eat with a spoon right out of the foil!
