Cooking Steps

  • 1
Dip banana pieces into melted butter.
  • 2
Thread banana pieces onto skewers. Add 1 or 2 cherries per skewer if desired.
  • 3
Roast over hot coals until warmed through—about 4 to 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • 4
Roll warm banana pieces in chopped nuts.
  • 5
Serve immediately while warm and gooey!

Serving Suggestions:

  • Drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce before serving.

  • Serve alongside a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan ice cream.

  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar for a churro-style twist.

Tips:

  • Use firm bananas to help them stay on the skewer while roasting.

  • For a nut-free option, roll in toasted oats, crushed graham crackers, or shredded coconut.

  • Try on mini skewers for kids or party-size servings.
