December is the crowning jewel of the year! Holiday music, lights, and tinsel twinkle in the cold night air. Wreaths and red bows adorn front doors and the calendar is crammed with a flurry of activities. Children and adults look forward to this magic time of year more than ever as we celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah. Our good intentions and goodwill are focused on this culminating sea son.

This is the month to revel in the festive atmosphere, and it needn’t cost a lot. Take time with your family early in the month to plan your Christmas or Hanukkah as you fill out the Holiday Planning Calendar and make decisions about what you can realistically do in one holiday season. Block time for activities that get everyone into the season’s spirit like caroling in Reindeer Antlers. With all the company parties and shopping trips, plan time for projects that involve the whole family, such as the Family Tree Wall Hanging or one of the Christmas Memory Makers. You may want to bake some Santa Heart Cookies and dress them up in a Angel Gift Bag for a special neighbor.

Remember, making holiday memories doesn’t require complicated activities. My holiday ideas are easy and meant to simplify an inherently busy time.
