Spring is the time to think of flowers and seeds and planting.
Can you imagine what fun you will have planting in a yummy chocolate dessert? If you want to have fun with your children, serve them Dirt dessert!
 

Dirt Dessert Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 (5.1-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (6-ounce) package miniature chocolate chips
  • 1 large package Oreo cookies, crushed into crumbs
  • Gummy worms (for decoration)
  • 1 new child’s sand bucket & shovel (or plastic cups or a new flowerpot)

Mix the pudding according to package directions and allow to set for a few minutes. Fold in the whipped topping and the chocolate chips. Put half of the pudding mixture in the bucket. Top with half of the cookies crumbs. Layer with the rest of the pudding and top with cookie crumbs. Add Gummi worms and chill. Use the shovel to serve.

Decorate the bucket with fabric flowers and ribbon. Add a happy note. Serves 6.
