Making this jolly snowman is an indoor family activity!
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 (16-ounce) package of miniature marshmallows
20 cups popped popcorn
Vegetable oil spray
Small black top hat (available at craft stores or make your own out of felt or paper) Candy or nuts
1 (1″ x 14″) strip ofredfelt
Melt the butter and marshmallows on low in a saucepan or microwave and pour over the popcorn.
Spray your hands with a vegetable oil spray. Form the popcorn into three balls—small, medium, and large. To secure the balls on top of each other, form a well in the top of the large and medium balls and a corresponding bump on the bottom of the medium and small balls so they nest on top of each other.
Decorate the snowman with a top hat, and use candy or nuts for the face and buttons. Make a jaunty red scarf for his neck out of a strip of felt.
